Riyadh: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) participated in the 22nd session of the United Nations High-Level Committee on South-South Cooperation, contributing to a session titled "Leveraging Science, Technology, and Innovation."
During the session, SDAIA showcased Saudi Arabia’s efforts in utilizing data and artificial intelligence (AI) to support the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the Kingdom's commitment to global cooperation and sustainable innovation.
The Saudi delegation was led by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) and included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).
SDAIA presented its expertise in developing AI- and big data-driven digital solutions that improve decision-making processes and contribute to global sustainable development, particularly in developing nations. These efforts include building integrated, innovation-based technological systems that support comprehensive growth.
SDAIA’s participation aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals and its broader strategy of international engagement. The Kingdom continues to position itself as an active global partner in advancing AI technologies and sharing successful models with international organizations and countries worldwide.
